Improving the sense of safety is crucial for our shopping precincts to prosper and attract more visitors, as well as making everyone feel welcome. There are no easy and quick solutions for dealing with this issue, which is mainly in the jurisdiction of WA Police/the State Government. But there are actions that our local government can be taken to reduce the problems experiences by residents and businesses. I will continue to support the implementation of the City’s Community Safety and Crime Prevention Plan 2023-2027.
