During my time on Council, I’ve been a strong advocate for the Maylands Town Centre:
- supported initiatives to help attract more visitors and increase safety, including having the Maylands Street Festivals.
- moved a proposal to activate our main laneways and improve lighting.
- supported existing and new businesses to strengthen our town centre.
- advocated for the car parking strategy to be implemented faster to mitigate ongoing parking pressures.
- Initiated a community safety forum allowing residents and businesses to raise their concerns about anti-social behaviour with the City and Police, which led to having more patrols in this area.
- I moved for the new public toilets to be located in an accessible spot near the Maylands Train Station.
- got trees planted for shade in-front of The RISE.
